George W. Lennon

Secretary

George Wright Lennon is a distinguished attorney and community leader with a remarkable career spanning law, military service, and civic engagement. A Board Certified Specialist in North Carolina Workers’ Compensation Law, he served as Senior Partner at Lennon, Camak & Bertics, PLLC, focusing on workers’ compensation and Social Security disability cases, following roles as a partner at Monroe, Wyne & Lennon, P.A., and as a North Carolina Assistant Attorney General. A retired Captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps, George earned the Legion of Merit and the RADM Hugh Howell Award for his exemplary service. Holding a J.D. from California Western School of Law and an A.B. from UNC Chapel Hill, he has been a dedicated advocate for historic preservation and education, serving as President of the North Carolina Society of the Cincinnati and Chair of the North Carolina Museum of History Associates, among others. His contributions have been recognized with the Order of the Long Leaf Pine from Governors Hunt and Martin, reflecting his profound impact on North Carolina’s legal, cultural, and community landscape.
